Today's IQ: Nancy Pelosi
"I have been against the fence, I thought it's a bad idea even when it was just a matter of discussion."
-"Representative Pelosi criticizes the border fence," http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2007-09-28-pelosi-fence_N.htm
Is this woman serious? She might as well be an illegal immigrant herself. I am surprised she didn't take time to stop in Irving, Texas to help the one thousand or so illeagls protest enforcement of existing laws allowing local police to assist in the eventual deportation of criminals here illegally.
One of the more liberal local stations in Dallas has a descent article on the event as a whole.

She would criticize anything that was practical and had to do with security and protection of the country. She has no business being in a position of political prominence. She would barter all day with terrorist enemies and junket back and forth from Iran, Syria and any other terrorist sponsoring state to promote her idea of diplomacy.

nothing to do with this blog but this just came into my google alert.
Perry, Iowa is a haven for illegal immigrants. I live about 35 miles from Perry. This film infuriates me, let the truth be told. My brother in law worked at the meat packing plant in Perry IA and was replaced by an illegal alien. So this is very personal to me. The first Tancredo event that we held in Perry IA --noone showed up. Zero zippo. My sister and I walked with Mr. Tancredo to the local Perry Newspaper to give an interview and they wouldn't give him the time of day. I am ashamed of the Perry town leaders for allowing this to happen and ashamed of our very own Governor Culver for harboring illegals in the state of Iowa. The government officials ought to all be held accountable and thrown in prison. I won't be watching. http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070928/ENT/70928016
Documentary about Perry to air Oct. 4 on IPTV
September 28, 2007
"A Little Salsa on the Prairie: The Changing Character of Perry, Iowa," an award-winning documentary by Jody Swilky, professor of English at Drake University, and Kent Newman, independent filmmaker and owner of Full Spectrum Productions, will premier on Iowa Public Television at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4.
The film explores changes in Perry that began in the 1990s when the largely white community experienced an influx of Latino workers and their families. Many of these workers traveled to Perry from Texas, California, Mexico and Central America to work in the local meat packing plant. In 10 years, Perry's Latino population increased from 47 to 1,873, with Latinos accounting for 24.5 percent of the population by 2000........(more )

Tancredo supporters should read the article and leave a comment and include our favorite candidate's name. There are already over 200 comments posted, and many of them sound like they could be Tancredo supporters. Let's bombarb Pelosi's article with comments supporting Tom and his campaign to build the border fence! Looks like I will be on the computer most of the weekend again!

When we have a country as poor as Mexico that borders us(thier goverments fault, our goverments fault for not getting on them about it)we need a fence to keep them out.And in a age of terrorism we need a border fence in the north and south.A fence is only part of the solution. When isrel built its Fence, have you heard of very many suicide bombers lately. They din't care what the rest of the world thought, because thier survival depends on it.
