Tom's speech in Ames at the straw poll was an INSPIRATION for all American citizens! My entire family here in Arizona watched and listened in awe as Tom wowed the crowd! My twenty-five year old son was speechless! He finally understands why I spent the past two months in Iowa helping with Tancredo's campaign. My husband, another Tancredo supporter, commented that Tom's campaign speech was right on target for EVERY single issue! My granddaughter, who is learning to talk, raised her fist and said, "Yeah!" when Tom finished speaking.
Tom, we thank you a million times for the message you are bringing to all Americans who hope for a better future for this great country!
Finally, to my sister, Carole in Iowa, who has become a staunch Tancredo supporter - Thanks for putting up with me the past two years - I'm so glad you joined Tom's team! This is only the beginning! Carry on!
To all Americans who want this country's destiny returned to its hard-working citizens who abide by the laws of this land - support Tom Tancredo by giving your time, energy and donations - no matter how big or small. Share Tom's message with your family members, friends and co-workers. He cannot do it alone, but together we can make a difference!

Mike, I want all the Tanc supporters to make sure they read this: Please print it again. thanks, Carole
Mike, Nice to see you survived and the blog is going again!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the work you have done so far and for helping out with the straw poll!
Is it OK to blog that the Tancredo voting was sabotaged? It's all over the internet, just google, "Tancredo vote sabotaged."
How did I hear about it? I am an avid Tanc supporter and volunteer. I was working the registration booth at the straw poll. 3 elderly folks walked up first thing Sat. morning and demanded to know why TeamTancredo canceled the buses. I wasn't aware any bus changes had been made. I asked for more information. They said they had received an email from Team Tancredo on Friday, the day before the straw poll, informing them their bus from their city had been canceled.
I checked with my campaign manager. She confirmed it was a HOAX.
I'm sure this cost us hundred of votes and most likely, 2nd place. I am reading the source was BROWNBACK, not surprising since he is running a dirty campaign.
Tanc supporters need to know this info. We had several elderly people who were supporting Tom and with heat index of over 100 degrees that day, I'm sure this caused many of them to stay home. Plus, think of the promises that were made to them that our buses would get them to Ames if they would sign up. I'm sure they felt their trust in Tom had been broken. I personally would be interested if someone did an analysis on the affect of this hoax, who received this email and did they not show up because of it?????? Just how many votes did we lose because of this? This could have been the difference between 2nd and 4th place, honestly. I don't know about other states but I am an Iowan and since the results were announced on Sat. eve, I am NOT seeing or hearing Tom Tancredo's name in the local or national newscoverage as a result of 4th place. This HOAX infuriates me!
Here is the article:
From ColoradoPols.com - Tancredo Straw Poll Machine Sabotaged?
As the Rocky Mountain News reports:
Rep. Tom Tancredo’s presidential campaign reportedly was the victim of an e-mail hoax on the eve of today’s Republican Party straw poll in Ames, Iowa.
The Des Moines Register reports that a hoax e-mail sent on Friday to almost 500 Tancredo supporters told them ? falsely ? that chartered busses to ferry them to the daylong events had either been cancelled or delayed.
“This is a blatant attempt to derail our efforts for the straw poll,” campaign spokesman Alan Moore told the newspaper. The campaign was trying to contact voters to assure them that straw poll transportation was on track as scheduled…
A whodunnit poll follows.
p.s. I hope AMERICA got to see Tanc's straw poll speech on C-SPAN Saturday. The man is so brilliant! And when Lee's Greenwood's song, Proud to be an American, was playing when Bill Salier came out to the stage, it brought me to tears! That song was perfect for Tom's fight for our country. Gotta love it.
Our fight has just begun. Now America can join us Iowans and continue Tom's race to the WhiteHouse. Go Tanc! God Bless You.

Great showing Congressman. Just a couple hundred from third and a little more to second place. Your message is great and starting to come through. God bless and go get'em.

Stay in the race Tom! A righteous man has to expect oppositon, even spiritual warfare, but persevere and Lord willing you will win.
God Bless you.

14 Reasons to Deport Illegal Aliens...
1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year.

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html
4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English!
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html
5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html
6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html
7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html
8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers. http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html
9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html
10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United States . http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html
11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report:
http://tinyurl.com/t9sht
12. The National Policy Institute, "estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period." http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportation.pdf
13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin.
http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm
14. "The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States ". http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml
So using the LOWEST estimates, the annual cost OF ILLEGAL ALIENS is $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230 BILLION DOLLARS, get rid of em', We'll be ahead after the 1st year!!!
Thanks to Luther. Please pass this on. Americans need to wake up!
VOTE TANCREDO FOR PRESIDENT!

I HOPE IOWANS ARE BOYCOTTING THE IOWA STATE FAIR THIS YEAR BECAUSE THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THEY PRINTED A BILINGUAL BROCHURE!!!!!!
Did anyone see my 2 cents worth in the Des Moines Register Friday? Central Iowa Woman wrote: " This is going to be the first year I don't attend the Iowa State Fair because I don't support printing the state fair brochures in a bilingual language." that was me........
Nannette Rodriguez, (below) obviously doesn't care or isn't concerned about the illegal immigration laws and problems is our country. Nannette obviously doesn't have her facts accurate. She didn't check to see how many of the hispanics are legal or illegal!
The Des Moines Register article that got my attention stated: "Nannette Rodriguez, who owns VivaMedia in Clive, wants companies to look into the future- way into the future to the year 2030. That's when Hispanics are expected to account for nearly 10% of Iowa's total population. Hispanics already make up the largest ethnic minority.
Businesses are already taking notice. The Iowa State Fair, Pella corp, Principal Financial Group are among companies that have started to step up their Latino marketing efforts beyond simple translations of brochures.
THIS YEAR, THE IOWA STATE FAIR, ONE OF RODRIGUEZ'S CLINETS, DISTRIBUTED ITS FIRST BILINGUAL BROCHURE. The fair is also running radio advertisements in Spanish.
She also lists tips for connecting with a hispanic audience:
Understand the Espanol is here to stay.
Realize that between 2000 and 2005 the Hispanic population grew 32 percent in Iowa.
Hispanics still have significant disposable income.
Hispanics use the internet to connect to their home countries. "
This is exactly why we need to gain support for Tom Tancredo for President. Because he will NOT allow this kind of nonsense! He WILL protect us. He WILL enforce the current immigration laws. He WILL prosecute the employers who hire illegals as well as mayors in cities that are harboring them. He WILL ensure English is our official language, period.
Tom is the only candidate I believe in and will vote for.
Go Tanc!

Hello everyone, just reading all of the postings here and I saw Jean's comment on the lack of news coverage from local and national news for Tom's 4th place spot in the Straw Poll. She is dead on! I sat all evening Saturday after the Poll (I was there!) waiting to hear the results. The local Des Moines channels only announced that Romney placed first, Huckabee placed second and Brownback took third. Not one mention of ANY other candidate.
Sunday I sat all morning and afternoon watching Fox News Channel, again mentions of the top three, and they also gave the last four, but completely omitted Tancredo and Paul. I was so angry the first thing I did on Monday a.m.was email most of the Fox news programs. I have cut and pasted it to share with you all. Enjoy and feel free to do the same.
"To all at Fox News,
I have been watching Fox News since 1999. I do not get my news from any other source as you are the most trusted and "Fair and Balanced" news source anywhere in the United States. I have however, been thoroughly disappointed in every one of your programs as far as the 2008 Presidential Election is concerned.
It seems that everyone at Fox has only first tier presidential candidates on their agenda, and are not giving second tier candidates any news time whatsoever. I have had all I can take of Clinton, Edwards, Obama, McCain, Romney, Thompson (Fred), and Guiliani. When is Fox News going to cover Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, et al? Before the campaign came into full force, I would see Tom Tancredo on programs such as Cavuto, Hannity and Colmes, and The O'Reilly Factor, but now that he is running for president, not one sound bite have I found. Why?????
You were even biased in your coverage of the Iowa Straw Polls, you announced the top three winners, Romney, Huckabee and Brownback, then you listed all of the losers, but nowhere on your televised coverage did you mention that Tom Tancredo won 13.7% of the vote, nor did you mention that Ron Paul received 9.1% of the vote. No, Fox News just keeps gushing over Mitt Romney and Rudy Guiliani.
I find that ironic as on virtually every program the problem with illegal immigration is discussed, but not one of you even mentions the only candidate that is running on that issue alone....Tom Tancredo. I am left to wonder why? I believe Tancredo would make an excellent Republican president. He supports a Flat tax, Family values, pro-life, small government and fences on our borders. AS I said, illegal immigration is a hot topic on all of your news shows, so why the snub for Tom? The top three candidates have flip-flopped on the immigration issue for years, Guilani even made New York City a "Sanctuary City", but you all are gushing over him as well.
You are not being fair to the American public as far as the 2008 Presidential Election is concerned. The media should not be promoting one candidate over the others, the media should give equal time and equal access to ALL candidates. I would really like a response from one of you on this subject. I hope you all don't "hide under your desk" on this one.
Most sincerely and quite confused,
Kathy Hood

Hope to see some changes at Fox "the most powerful name in news".
Take care everyone and keep supporting Tom!

To the poster who posted the entry entitled: "14 Reasons to Deport Illegal Aliens," my apologies for suggesting that the title should rather read: "14 Reasons to elect Tancredo," but that's the way I see it.
Good information tough. Thanks for providing it!
Go Tancredo!

I wanted to share a response I made to an article in the Denver Post titled, "Tancredo Burned in Effigy". The actual article is below.
Tancredo Burned in Effigy
Posted by Christa Marshall @ 8:44 am
CHRISTA MARSHALL: For those of you who can’t get enough of Rep. Tom Tancredo’s presidential campaign, there is now visual evidence of the Littleton Republican’s influence in Pakistan.
Yahoo! News is running a photo of the burning effigies of Tancredo, President Bush and Sen. Barack Obama in a crowd of Pakistani demonstrators in front of a sign that says “Dath to Tancredo.”
Tancredo sparked unrest in Pakistan this week after saying that the United States should consider bombing Islamic holy sites in Mecca and Medina to fend off a nuclear attack from terrorists. His words reached the chamber of the Pakistani parliament, where lawmakers condemned his remarks.
Obama also came under fire after suggesting the U.S. military should consider invading Pakistan’s border region to battle al-Qaeda fighters.
When asked this week about the Pakistani riots, Tancredo spokesperson Carlos Espinosa (who sent us the photo) said his boss was sticking by his comments, arguing that any presidential candidate should not “take anything off the table” when it comes to fighting terrorism.
“It’s one of the few times you’ll see Bush and Tancredo standing next to each other, ” Espinosa said of the effigy moment.
My response is as follows:
I’m from Iowa, known for ITS first-in-the-nation Caucus. I attended the Iowa Straw Poll this past Saturday in favor of Congressman Tom Tancredo.
My personal opinion is: “Tom is the best man for the job as OUR next President.” I agree with his statement about Mecca and Medina. I’m even Catholic. The reason I agree with his statement is because those Islamic Terrorists destroyed two of the most well-known buildings in OUR Nation, the Twin Towers. To some, they were like those Holy sites of Mecca and Medina. Except, they were here in the U.S. Therefore, I believe WE should do everything within OUR power as a Nation to prohibit any-and-all attacks against the United States from Islamic Terrorists, even if that means bombing Mecca and Medina.
Thank you Congressman Tancredo for allowing all of your supporters, here in Iowa, to be a part of your campaign as faithful followers.
Thomas “Creampuff” Willems
Marcus, Iowa
That is how much I believe in what Congressman Tancredo is doing. That is why I support his effort to make America the best Nation on earth, in all aspects, once again.
I hope the Congressman will get a chance to read this, also.
Thanks again Congressman Tancredo for all of your effort and I hope to see you at your Inauguration.

My husband and I went to the straw poll and took a Blind supporter with us that was 81 years young. My son and his family met us there along with my niece and some of her kids. It was hot but well worth the trip. What everyone has said about Tom is true. He is a true hero and the hope for our country. Thank you to all of his staff and especially THANK YOU MR TOM TANCREDO FOR RENEWING OUR HOPE FOR THE FUTURE OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY. We have only just begun.

ok, ok. I know it's frustrating but, let's move on. Whoever sent the bogus e-mail, we may never know. Let's chalk it up to experience. If we continue to whine about it, we act like the democrats in the last two elections. We don't know for sure how it would have turned out, so leave it at that, and move on.
I did not get a bogus e-mail. So I don't know what it said, But lets show some class. We will now become better prepared and organized, and move on.
By the way, the phone recorded message that went out for Tom was great, but the phone number for people to call for more info was given to fast. Please make sure in the future that this info is given clearly and slowly so all people have time to write it down.
I am trying to find out how to get ahold of Bill Sailer, Please send me his e-mail address.
Thank you

Who is posting Tancredo supporters' blogs now that Mike has returned to school? Can we continue to post comments here? Is there an official "Tancredo supporters" email list that is being put together so his supporters can network/share information? Networking could be a major tool for Tom Tancredo's campaign, as we only have a few months to continue gaining momentum! I appreciate any information you can give us. His aides don't seem to know much about his campaign itinerary. How can we help, other than send donations?
Posted by: Patrice from AZ | Aug 15, 2007 5:05:15 PM
Brenda - You offer a few good suggestions - but action speaks louder. Perhaps you can take charge of the phone messages or emails and really help Tom with his campaign. Many of us Iowa supporters spent hundreds of hours this summer folding and stuffing literature, making phone calls, marching in parades, attending small town meetings, and walking door to door - all to get Tom's important message out. His campaign needs his supporters, each and every one, to do a small part! This country needs each and every one of us to do a small part. We need action!

To Kathy Hood: I too was in Ames and watched/listened to Tom's speach. He had everyone in that audtiorium on their feet before his speach even ended. "This us your culture, (this is where they began standing up and cheering) fight for it! This is your flag, pick it up! This is your country, take it back!"
I stayed and waited for the counts to be announced and was furious the next morning in my hotel room with FOX NEWS for the way they reported the results; Romney, Huckabee, Brownback with their percentages, then Thompson, Giuliani, and McCain without percentages as if they were 4th 5th and 6th. They got a big piece of my mind when I got home and said 'I will never again defend you when some liberal calls you FAUX NEWS.'
norma halverson: I have reached Bill Salier at [email protected]
Carole and Patrice : I participate in a nation wide forum www.firesociety.com where Tom has a big following. Please join us.
