10-17 Trip to NH

Posted by SecPress in New Hampshire | Comments (6) | Permalink

Tom speaks to students at Sunapee High School,  aired last night on C-SPAN.  It is a bit lengthy but it is a good indicator of how Tom acts in real situations.

You can take a look at some other candidates and they act the same way during a debate as they do talking to a group of  students.  Tom takes the situation for what it is and acts accordingly, naturally.

I have said this numerous times, but for those who have not had the pleasure to meet him, he speaks to you as a person, not a politician.

Enjoy

Press Conference Transcript

"Legislation has been introduced to make New Hampshire a sanctuary state.  Its time for the Governor to drive a silver stake through this bill and assure New Hampshire will never be a sanctuary state.”

“The legislators behind this effort demonstrate an absolute disregard for the safety of their citizens and for the rule of law.  Sanctuary policies are a violation of federal law and cities and states that declare themselves such welcome into their communities a criminal element.  It is time for the federal government to cut off funds to these entities and prosecute all those responsible for such policies.”

"Sanctuary policies create safe haven for all illegal aliens, including gang members, drug dealers, rapists and murderers, further exposing law-abiding citizens to greater crime.  According to the Center for Immigration Studies a confidential California Department of Justice study found that 15 years after Los Angeles  declared itself a sanctuary city, 60% of L.A.'s most violent gangs, with membership in the tens of thousands, were illegal aliens.  Of all outstanding murder warrants in L.A., 95% were for illegal aliens."

“The fact that this bill has even been introduced is a dangerous step. New Hampshire needs to keep the NO TRESSPASSING sign up.”

July 4th Parades in New Hampshire

Posted by Mike Tate in New Hampshire | Comments (2) | Permalink

Cris Dow, who works in the Manchester office, gave me some background on a few July 4th parades that were totally Tancredo:

These are photos from two parades that took place in Amherst and Merrimack, New Hampshire on July 4th. There were a lot of people excited to get pamphlets on Congressman Tancredo. As we rolled through the parade in Merrimack one man said, "Finally we have a true conservative!" The banner on the side of the truck was a big hit. People were excited to see someone taking a strong stand on the issues. I also heard another man in the crowd say, "It is good to see a candidate truly saying what he believes in."

Dow sent me these pics:

Pics from Alton, Wolfeboro, and Wakefied

Posted by Mike Tate in New Hampshire | Comments (0) | Permalink

Congressman Tancredo visited Alton, Wolfeboro, and Wakefield yesterday.  He spoke with a few fishermen at the town docks in Wolfeboro.  One commented to Tancredo, "You are in good company here" (in reference to being a conservative Republican). The main questions of the day focused on Global Warming, Iraq, Immigration, and Alternative Fuel Sources.

Cris, who's traveling with Tancredo throughout New Hampshire this weekend, told me this:

The day started off at Motorcycle's of Manchester. The crowd was pleasantly surprised when, in discussion of Helmet Laws, the Congressman shared a story about how he helped get rid of the law in Colorado years ago. People in New Hampshire really stand by their "Live Free or Die" motto. Next, he visited a Young Republican's event in Concord and then headed north to the Lakes Region. In Tuftonboro he spoke at a house party. In Wolfeboro he spoke in front of the Wolfeboro Republican Committee at a restaurant in downtown. Like I have said before, people have been very receptive when they get to hear and meet him in a close and personal setting.

Video from New Hampshire

Posted by Mike Tate in New Hampshire | Comments (1) | Permalink

Here are some clips from Congressman Tancredo's stop in Nashua, New Hampshire yesterday.

Cris, who was traveling with the Congressman throughout New Hampshire, sent me this footage:

Discussing How to End Illegal Immigration

Discussing Illegal Immigrants and Housing

Cris told me:

It was a great event. There was media on hand and plenty of people came. It was a relaxed environment full of questions, laughs, and cigars. Immigration issues were on the top of the list of questions that were asked. People wanted answers. Luckily, they posed them to a man with a lot of knowledge and answers regarding that topic.
