Anne Ferguson's Story

Posted by Mike Tate in Iowa | Comments (1) | Permalink

Yesterday, in Mason City, I was driving with Congressman Tancredo to the next campaign stop in Charles City. Well, Tancredo saw an arts festival along the side of the highway and wanted to check it out. We parked the car and walked around a bit. Tancredo and I split from another campaign staffer, Mick Bransfield, to shoot a YouTube video on the other side of the arts festival. Mick was walking around by himself with a Tancredo sticker when he was greeted by one lady -- Anne Ferguson -- who was selling items at one of the tables. Mick immediately called me and I ran over to find Anne. The Tanc met a very excited Anne. She was passionate about the immigration issue and thanked The Tanc for all his hard work on trumpeting that immigrants must learn the language of the land: English. Anne immigrated to the United States legally in 2002 from Kenya and is a supporter of his presidential campaign.

I sincerely appreciate Cong. Tancredo's efforts to make Americans aware of the giveaway of America by its corporate elites who have no loyalty except to their portfolios and their own kind.

However it's only fair to note the class of Kenyans who would come to the USA (unlike most Mexicans) do learn English in school; Kenya uses English as its language for business and international relations.
