I don't believe this is the first hospital in this area to close.

While I can't confirm any percentage, if any, of the uninsured mentioned in the article who are illegal aliens, from talking to one of the soon to be unemployed hospital workers, my sense is that a fair portion of them are non-residents. I can see a chain-reaction of one health-care facility after another suffering the same fate, and Maryland is one of the wealthiest States in the Nation. I do wonder, if so many of our undocumented are also uninsured, why do I also read about undocumented individuals or families placing large amounts (10's of thousands) of dollars in down payments on homes? In any case, I'm glad to see the other Republican candidates coming around to the Tancredo point of view.
